A gorgeous album of acoustic improvisation from Anthony Pateras performing on a prepared piano and Stephen O'Malley on steel string acoustic guitar, recorded live with no overdubs during O'Malley's residency at La Becque on Lake Geneva in the summer of 2021, slowly interacting through resonant harmonics and percussive tones that glide and fill the air with contemplative sound.

Each side of these 2 LPs is take from one of four installations by Marina Rosendfeld in Frankfurt, Donaueschingen, and NYC, presenting the installation Deathstar; a piano performance within the Deathstar; a re-notation in the form of a concerto for piano and chamber orchestra; and the orchestration's reduction to something like chamber music.

Yeo-Neun Quartet is an experimental chamber music ensemble founded in 2016 by Okkyung Lee on cello, with harpist Maeve Gilchrist, pianist Jacob Sacks, and bassist Eivind Opsvik, in a detailed album merging melodic contemporary composition with free improvisation and unusual technique, as Lee explores her musical history and experiences through ten dramatically elegant works.
